Bio
The moment Michael picked up drumsticks at the age of 16, he was hooked. He has spent the last several decades honing his skills, eventually being named one of the top 10 Christian drummers. Michael started down the road of being a professional musician when he joined Whitecross in 1991. Over the years, Whitecross found great success, touring the globe and winning several Dove Awards along the way.
In 2021, he took a leap of faith, stepping out from behind his drum set and embarking on a solo career with the release of Someone Prayed, his new album offering the message of hope and redemption. It includes the patriotic single I Still Believe, a tribute to both our nation’s military and to his father Mike, who served in the Air Force for 27 years. The solo project was produced and co-written by Matt Bissonette (Ringo Starr) and engineered by Grammy-winning Chris Lorde-Alge (Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Tim McGraw). Building upon his successful solo launch, Michael later played with Curious Fools, Guardian, X Sinner and Bloodgood, among others.
In early 2023, Michael once again joined Rex Carrol, Benny Ramos & new lead singer, David Roberts, as they stepped back into the studio to record the much-anticipated Whitecross album Fear No Evil. This is the first album by Whitecross in 25 years and was released on March 22, 2024 to phenomenal reviews.
